Constitutional Reform Roadmap

Thank you for seeing George Cautherley and I on 19^th July 2006 to discuss the enclosed paper titled "The Hong Kong We Want: The Political System You Design from Today to 2047" written by Dr Sonny Lo. As we mentioned to you, this project was suggested to the Hong Kong Democratic Foundation (HKDF) by friends keen to see a rational and informed debate on Hong Kong's constitutional development.

In the process of putting this project together, the HKDF was encouraged by Sir David Ackers-Jones, Dr Edgar W K Cheng, Mrs. Regina Ip Lau Suk-yee, Ms. Christine Loh and Dr James T H Tang who wrote forewords for us. I do hope that the enclosed document is useful to you and would make a positive contribution to the future democratic development in Hong Kong.
