In accordance with the policy of "Hong Kong people ruling Hong Kong", we seek to reform the structure of government to give the people a direct and powerful role in policy- and decision-making through a legislature and chief executive elected by universal suffrage and secret ballot.
The HKDF believes the executive authorities should be accountable to the people of Hong Kong and should disclose information to enable the public, through the legislature, to call them to account, shape policies and monitor the activities of government departments.
